He started lunchtime deejaying at school, formed a garage band and saw every international act he could - Deep Purple at Randwick, Gary Glitter at Moore Park, Lou Reed at The Hordern, Slade, Status Quo, Roberta Flack, David Bowie, even The Osmonds.
